We're here for you! With client services at the epicentre of everything we do, we're growing our team of friendly faces. Say hey to Ashleigh Cameron, our newest Account Manager and resident ballroom dancer!
Ashleigh will be working on a number of large and exciting projects and managing our Glasgow accounts team to ensure you're always kept in the loop. So, let's get to know her a little better...
What made you want to join our team?
I’d always known about After Digital from doing competitor analysis in previous jobs. I followed the company’s social posts and one day seen they had rebranded and were hiring, so out of curiosity I applied. I was made to feel extremely welcome at the interview and the company’s plans for the future where something I knew I wanted to be a part of.
So far we know you are a ballroom dancing, Pinterest addict but tell us more about what you did before joining After Digital and what experience you have brought to your role.
Prior to joining After Digital I was the Digital Strategist and studio manager at another digital agency in Glasgow. Throughout my time there I worked with many amazing clients around the world and worked on large web and app projects. My previous roles have provided me with hands-on experience on all aspects of the digital project process from start to finish. I’m completely besotted with the digital industry and extremely results oriented, so strategizing the best solutions for my clients is at the heart of everything I do.
Having worked in Account Management before, which top tips would you give to clients / what are your top tips for managing clients effectively?
We're here to help! Account managers effectively become part of your internal team - we want to solve your problems, alleviate risks and ultimately lead you to the right solution or product for your business needs. The only tip I would give other account managers would be to take an interest. Take an interest in your client’s business, their industry and their competitors - be the person they can rely on to lead them in the right direction.
What do you get up to in your spare time?
I’m a keen photographer - my sister and I have a small business and specialise in wedding, family and newborn shoots. In addition to photography I love to get out in the fresh-air. I climbed Goat Fell at the end of 2014, so currently looking for a new challenge this year!
Do you have a party piece or any hidden talents? (All the party pieces come out during Friday Fun at Four)!
I can't give the game away already!
What is your biggest achievement in your career so far?
I've worked with some exciting clients over the years and launched successful apps into the AppStore - it's always a great feeling to see your team's work on other peoples phones or being discussed in blogs!
Stranded on a desert island, which three items would you take?
- I NEED to be connected at all times so definitely my iPhone - how else would I be able to share my discoveries!?
- Handbag - never without my bag of tricks
- Smoothie-maker - I couldn't start the day without a smoothie!
Which celebs would play you in a movie?
Wishful thinking I'm sure, but Liv Tyler would be my pick.
What do you think you can bring to the After Digital team...
I think my skill set really compliments the rest of the team individually.
With experience of managing, scoping and scheduling projects end-to-end, and having a hands on understanding of the design and dev process, I can ensure our clients get the best service and solution to meet their specific needs.
