Being aware of the success of the Usher Hall website Assembly Rooms contacted After Digital to develop its new site and online presence, as well as creating a stylish, temporary portal for information regarding the 18-month refurbishment project in Edinburgh.
A treasured piece of architecture and UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Assembly Rooms is a beautiful Category A listed building in the heart of Scotland’s capital, offering a range of diverse events and function hire.
After receiving the official go ahead for the new refurbishment project the Assembly Rooms selected After Digital to develop a holistic digital solution, consisting of two core phases.
Initially After Digital developed an elegant brochure website to host information regarding the project and function hire details. The site aimed to involve the public and keep them informed on the progress of the renovation project. This simplistic website acted as the root for its new, more complex content managed platform, which After Digital was to develop in line with the completion of the Assembly Rooms refurbishment project in Edinburgh.
Phase two involved a complete redevelopment of the website, incorporating the venue’s new branding guidelines. The beautiful new site utilises bold imagery and the repeated use of circles, creating synergy and an overall visually appealing site. The design clearly guides the user through the website, generating intuitive navigation and an enjoyable user experience, whilst clearly communicating the project’s goals and the venue’s range of events.
With the Assembly Rooms now reopen to the public After Digital is excited to announce the launch of the new website and to have been given an exclusive look at the beautifully renovated venue at the recent launch party.
