After recently being added to the digital roster for the Science Museum Group, After Digital is excited to launch the brand new Science Museum interactive Christmas calendar Facebook app.
Entrusted with providing digital services to the Science Museum, National Media Museum, Museum of Science & Industry and the National Railway Museum over the next 3 years, this Christmas campaign is the first piece of work After Digital will launch for the prestigious Group.
Prior to beginning work on this exciting new app James Bailey, Head of Communications at the Science Museum Group, said; “The Science Museum Group is the home of innovation and we therefore need to be spot on with our digital communications. We’re delighted to have appointed After Digital to our roster of digital marketing agencies; we’re looking forward to working with them to ensure we practice what we preach.”
The Christmas campaign, also consisting of outdoor display advertising and video billboards within London Underground, aims to engage the public, particularly young people, and encourage them to visit the Science Museum over the festive period.
After Digital has developed a bespoke Facebook app, consisting of an interactive Christmas calendar with 12 doors all hiding different activities, fun facts and multimedia behind them. Users can enter each door, soak up the information, watch videos, test their knowledge on certain topics and complete activities, as well as being able to share the app with their Facebook friends. Each door and activity links back to the exciting shows, exhibitions and workshops open throughout the holiday season at the Science Museum.
Beautiful animation and design makes the app an enjoyable and seamless user experience, whilst integrating cleverly with offline marketing efforts. Additionally, After Digital’s digital marketing specialists have built in measurability to ensure the Science Museum attains its online objectives and can better analyse interaction levels.
