Let us introduce you to a brand new member of our team, Jodie! Super organised and super fun, Jodie will be joining us as a Digital Producer - managing existing client projects. In her new start blog, Jodie tells us all about her travels around the world and why she joined After Digital.
What attracted you to After Digital?
I love working in digital and learning all about it. So when I heard about the Digital Producer role, I was very keen to apply. After doing some initial research on social media and the AD website, I found their client list impressive and the team came across great during the interview process, which was a big plus for me!
Tell us a bit about what you did before joining After Digital.
I worked as a Digital Project Manager for a Glasgow agency, where I learned about all things digital. Prior to this, my Project Management experience had been with a global tech company managing IT infrastructure transformation projects.
I also did a bit of travelling in between around South East Asia, which was an amazing experience. If you ever get a chance, I would definitely recommend it.
What do you bring to the team?
I have several years' experience as a client facing Project Manager, as well as agency experience. So, I should hopefully be able to apply the skills and knowledge I’ve learned previously to my new Digital Producer role here at After Digital.
What do you do in your spare time?
I love to travel, I’m partial to a long weekend somewhere new when I get the chance. I also love hill walking and being outside in general; nature is the best! I always have my camera on hand to get a good shot too, it’s nice to remember all the amazing places that I’ve been to.
If you could only watch one TV show/film for the rest of your life what would it be?
It has to be Game of Thrones, although I’m gutted it’s finished for good!
You’re stranded on an island, what are the three things you would take with you?
- My camera, to document the whole thing.
- Unlimited supply of Water to keep me hydrated.
- Lots of snacks, I’m always hungry so this is a must.
What is the most interesting that’s ever happened to you?
Probably going travelling around Asia with about a week’s worth of clothing, nothing booked in advance and having to learn about new ways of living where I could barely speak any of the languages!
Which celeb would play you in a movie?
I’m going to run with the Game of Thrones theme here and say Emilia Clarke.
What's your favourite quote?
"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone."
Welcome to the team, Jodie! We're thrilled to have you on board and can't wait to hear more about your travels around the world.
