Having designed and developed the existing Pitlochry Festival Theatre site almost six years ago, we have continued this relationship to develop their online presence and manage the Tessitura ticketing platform. With a unique insight into the organisation and the challenges currently faced, we were delighted to be selected for the full redesign and development project back in August this year.
Over the years we’ve built up an expertise in delivering complex development and integration projects with the Tessitura online ticketing system for world-class clients however our very first Tessitura project was with Pitlochry Festival Theatre. Despite being our first Tessitura project, the PFT website went on to receive special commendation from Jack Rubin, President at Tessitura Network for the speed and skill of deployment. Since then, our knowledge, exposure and experience has vastly grown and we can’t wait to launch the new PFT site with version 3 of our Tessitura Bridge product which we’re continually developing.

Pitlochry Festival Theatre
With the ever-changing tech world, the existing website no longer meets customers needs and is not working to full impact in terms of driving revenue for the organisation. The main aims for the new website are:
- Increase ticket sales by 250%
- Increase customer satisfaction rates and surpass their online ticketing expectations
- Increase donations to all PFT Supporter engagement programmes
- Differentiate PFT from other venues by demonstrating the USP
Kicking off the process, we invited key members of the Pitlochry team for a day of brainstorming and site mapping at our infamous discovery days. We advised on content prioritisation from both a design and marketing perspective with the afternoon seeing our design team take the lead and wireframe key pages of the site from a mobile-first perspective.
On-site discovery day number 2 took place in Pitlochry beginning with a tour of the amazing theatre itself, followed by a discussion of the wireframes and the functionality of the website to guide future development.
Providing PFT with new responsive functionality, the website will clearly portray the brand values and will guide the user through the site with intuitive UX design. We will be applying our years of experience in the arts, Tessitura integration and bespoke development to create a website both our team and the Pitlochry team can be proud of yet again. Currently in design stage, the website will be Pitlochry’s key sales and marketing tool and we are super excited to show it off!
