After welcoming Eva, Melissa and Dan to the team recently, we’re throwing another newbie into the mix - say hey to Kirsty Fleming our wonderful new Traffic Manager. Originally from Scotland, Kirsty has been working in London for the last few years and after her recent move back to Bonnie Scotland, we're delighted she has joined After Digital!
With 10 years of experience spanning the globe, Kirsty will be playing a key part in our team helping to deliver projects to specification, budget and time as well as being a champion of our agile methodology. So, let’s find out a little more about her here...
What made you want to join our team?
As a digital geek, I had actually been following After Digital for quite a while. The site was great (first thing a digital PM looks for)! I was drawn to the variance in the work we do, the team personality & how we work together as well as with clients. It's such an exciting and evolving time to work in digital and the fact that After Digital are so focused on Agile and the latest and greatest tools and creative ways sealed it for me, plus meeting the team here made me feel like home!
Tell us more about what you did before joining After Digital?
As soon as I realised I wasn't going to make it as a rock star, I started working in IT & quickly found my inner geek. I loved working as a PM and started to learn more and more from some amazing creative mentors and colleagues. I love digital work and the ability to take someone's ideas and dreams and turn them into fantastic products & business solutions. I have some really interesting and invaluable experience from both agency, public sector and just about every client base you can think of. After 10 years working between London, Australia and the UK again, it was time to come back to bonnie Scotland, so here I am!
What do you think you are bringing to the team?
A massive amount of Agile geek, some really varied & challenging digital experience, a huge amount of excitement to be Traffic Manager for such a great agency & a big, red cheeked smile.
What do you get up to in your spare time?
I moved back to be close to family & with a niece & 5 nephews, I should be pretty busy! I love live music. I play the guitar, write & sing (badly I hasten to add)! I cook up a storm when I can, ride my bike loads and I'm looking forward to lots of weekends away to rediscover beautiful Scotland again.
Do you have a party piece or any hidden talents? (All the party pieces eventually come out during Friday Fun at Four)!
I'm quite good at doing impressions of people I find hilarious & accents. I make amazing brownies & could recite any dialogue, music or dance moves from any musical ever written!
What is the biggest achievement in your career so far?
It was implementing Agile & Digital into a long standing public sector organisation (no easy feat) but right now it's coming to work for After Digital and managing to build my way up to Traffic Manager. I knew I'd find a good job here but it's so fantastic to be working for the people I've followed and admired the work of. It feels like it's meant to be!
Stranded on a desert island, which three items would you take?
My guitar, something to write on/with and a bottomless mojito.
Which celeb would play you in a movie?
Julianne Moore, not in my wildest dreams am I that beautiful but she's strong, she writes, she's an activist and all round awesome woman.
Aside from your experience in project management, what do you think you can bring to the After Digital team?
I absolutely love Agile working and being creative in everything I do. I'm a massive team player and I hope to add to the already great team here in working as a big digital family to produce products both we and our clients are exceptionally proud of.

After her big move from London back to Glasgow we welcome Kirsty with open arms into our delivery team. With years of agile experience we can't wait to see how she makes this new role her own and of course we can't wait to show her round some of our new Glasgow haunts.
