After going through a period of substantial growth, we are delighted to welcome Steve Plummer, our Group Business Development Manager.

After recently acquiring Manchester based digital agency, Fluid Creativity and securing our first American client, Steve will be working closely with our Commercial Director David Johnstone to generate some amazing new business for our team to work on.

So, let's find out a little more about Steve...


What made you want to join our team?
I've known about After Digital for a number of years and even worked with the After Digital team for a while when I was at Common Purpose. I was looking for a team I knew, liked and believed in… so here I am.

Tell us more about what you did before joining After Digital? 
I’ve had quite a portfolio career recently. Most recently I led Experiential Leadership Development courses creating safe spaces for senior Scottish, UK and Commonwealth leaders to discuss the challenges of leading in todays society. The role had a real focus on community, on social responsibility and the need to join third, public and private sectors together to provide a better world. Before that I was Ops Director at Dog Digital and Client Services Director at Line Digital. I've spent 17 years in Creative Agency land and I’ve been doing Business development for 27 years.

Having worked in business development, what experience are you bringing to the role?
I’m a trained sales person with Dun & BradStreet and Thomson’s Directories and led pitch teams for projects across most verticals. Wins range from 5 to 7 figures. My personal interests are in UX and I'm also a qualified SEO Copywriter but I haven't done any for some time!

What do you get up to in your spare time?
My Band, VX, Mountain Biking / hiking, gardening and family.

Do you have a party piece or any hidden talents? (All the party pieces will eventually come out at Friday Fun at Four)!
I have been known to sing the odd song or 3.

What is your biggest achievement in your career so far?
Sales - winning the £3 million roster pitch for Reed Elsevier EMEA
Delivery - which transformed their sales overnight, paid for itself in 3 months and hit the annual target we were set by month 6.
Operationally - Turning Line into a highly successful profitable agency from the failing position it was in when I started. 6 months of hard work and a great team effort.

Stranded on a desert island, which 3 items would you take with you? 

My Guitar, my hunting knife, my fire starting kit!

What do you think you can bring to the After Digital team...
I have a lot of experience and expertise across variety of disciplines. I also know there is much more to learn and everyone has insights to offer.
