Over the past couple of months we’ve seen the beginning of another beautiful relationship, this time with the spectacular Almeida Theatre in London.
Following ongoing success across the arts and culture sector, with organisations such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Young Vic, The Courtauld Institute for Art and Scottish Ballet we are thrilled to have been selected to work with Almeida Theatre, building its striking new responsive website and starting our journey with an exciting strategic partnership.
Based in London, the Almeida Theatre is an award winning 325-seat theatre in Islington but with an international reputation in the arts. Beginning life as a literary and scientific society over 30 years ago, the Almeida Theatre now welcomes individuals from around the world making it a well loved destination and must-visit when in London.
As well as being a Theatre, the Almeida also has an education arm - Almeida Projects which gives young people opportunities for participation, drama workshops and performance projects.
After pitching against a number of other leading UK agencies for the contract, After Digital was selected to bring Almeida up to the top of its digital game. Over the last few months, our digital experts and development whizz kids have been hard at work developing a digital strategy and solution that best suits the needs of both Almeida and its audiences.
With mobile usage overtaking desktop, our creative and development teams have designed a visually impressive, responsive website which enhances and streamlines the user experience across devices, in order to increase engagement for Almeida Theatre. The ‘What’s On’ calendar, booking facility and donate function with the ability to purchase gift memberships, all enhance the user experience and meet key business objectives set out at the beginning of the project.
Putting our integration expertise into practice, the new site is integrated with Patron Edge, the Theatre’s ticketing system, providing a robust and attractive solution to online ticketing and enhanced administration.
“We had initially chosen After Digital for the project as we were impressed with their work in the arts and wanted to work with an agency that had a combination of visual and strategic expertise. From the initial discovery session right through to launch, we thoroughly enjoyed working with After Digital, and we are delighted with how the website reflects our new, energised rebrand. We would happily recommend After Digital and we look forward to continuing the relationship."
