Founded in 1997, After Digital is a Glasgow and London based digital agency, with a team of experts spanning web development, design and digital marketing, and a wealth of experience in the higher and further education sector. As the third in the series of 'The Digital Landscape' reports, this particular report aims to enhance our understanding of our further and higher education clients' needs by focusing on the challenges they face in the coming year.
Recently completing work with leading educational institutes such as Bournemouth University and the University of Bath, our education client list keeps growing. To make sure we continue developing solutions that are relevant, targeted and as future-proof as possible we undertook this piece of research, identifying key challenges and gaining a better overview of the digital landscape across the sector. Our researchers spoke to influential marketers and directors from further and higher educational institutes throughout the UK to produce this in-depth research report and infographic.
Our findings highlighted that attracting students was the number one priority going forward, closely followed by attracting high calibre staff and researchers. Within these two categories we saw several key themes arising also: money, competition, graduate unemployment, partnerships, fair access to education, technology and consistency/branding.
