Last month we told you that we’d been shortlisted for a Scottish Design Award and this month we can tell you that we’ve won a Commendation for that very shortlist!
Despite it being a school night, Gillian and Stephen were out and about representing Team After Digital at the Radisson Blu Hotel. It was there that The Drum’s 19th annual Scottish Design Awards were held (I know, you’re right - we’ve been kicking about nearly just as long as they have!). In addition to last year’s commendation and shortlist for our Benromach and People Make Glasgow projects, we’ve only gone and won another. Again for ‘Best Web Design’, we’ve been awarded a Commendation for our work with the infamous, London based Almeida Theatre.
Design is a broad spectrum and with that only a few categories were digitally orientated. Thus, the shortlists were hotly contested - making us even more proud to have won!
Given our team’s international reputation within the arts, we were well placed to build an image led, responsive website that focussed solely on enhancing user experience. In the first two months after the launch returning visitors increased by 22%, session durations by 41% and engagement by a massive 119% (measured by pageviews) - suggesting that the mission was well and truly accomplished.
Despite our success in the first half of 2016, we don't want it to end here. Furthermore, we've been nominated for 'Best Digital & Creative Business of the Year' in the Manchester Business Awards 2016 (for which you can vote for us) and for 'Best Digital Marketing Campaign' in the 2016 Big Chip Awards.
Lastly, well done to our team and a special thanks to the judges that voted for us!
