What is PPC and the Google Ads Grant?
Pay-per-click (PPC) marketing is a form of online search marketing, whereby you bid on search terms (keywords) to appear in sponsored ad listings and acquire visits to your website. It is a competitive form of online advertising, enabling you to gain exposure for your organisation amongst everyone else vying for your audience's attention.
Google AdWords is Google's paid search advertising platform, providing you with the ability to compete in Google search results. And, Google offers registered charities the chance to gain exposure in search and compete by offering you a complimentary monthly ad budget of $10,000 to spend on AdWords ads.
How do I get my PPC grant?
Google provides this useful guide on 'how to get started' but we can also take the stress out of this for you and complete the application, approval and setup process on your behalf. And, if for any reason we're not successful at securing you a grant, we'll not charge you - simple, fair, transparent. Our aim is to get you more for your (or Google's) money.
You can also check if you're eligible for a Google grant here.
"After Digital took a problem that several other companies and consultants had not succeeded in solving, and – with persistence – resolved the issue. To have a Google Grant live and online will potentially make a great difference to our organisation, and we are grateful to After Digital for their expertise and service."
- Tim Woodall, Philharmonia
How do we work?
We want to make the grant application and PPC management as straightforward and effective for you as possible. As such, we've developed our Google Ad Grants service:
- If you've not already got your ad grant and are eligible for one, we can apply on your behalf and manage this process. As a Google Partner, we can tap into our account managers at Google to streamline and speed up the process.
- Our accredited PPC professionals will audit, optimise and manage your account on a monthly basis, ensuring you get the best possible returns from your $10,000 ad spend time and time again.
We charge a set monthly fee of £900 per month, for six months, with full account management.
Our retainers run for 6 months, when a grant is already in place or we secure one for you in month 1.
If we are unsuccessful at securing your grant, you will not be tied into a contract or need to pay.
Is it worth it?
We certainly think so. We've helped a leading arts organisation secure and maximise its ad grant after a year's struggle to unlock it. We've also seen how poorly optimised PPC accounts in the arts sector are, failing to maximise the potential of this valuable acquisition marketing tool. But, we also take learnings from further afield, such as majorly competitive retail markets, where we've supported the UK's number one illuminated mirror supplier to achieve over 700% ROI on PPC and a luxury watch brand go from 0% ROI to over 320%.
