After Digital is an EDF Energy tier-two agency, working with the leading energy company to spark creativity and develop its digital offering, to best serve its vast European customer base. The goal for this project was to create a cross-device accessible solution to support more effective B2B communication, ensuring members of the CCS and EDF Energy framework get the most out of their energy.
After only a month on the official agency roster for EDF Energy, we were excited to be selected to develop a solution focusing on optimal user experience design across a new fully responsive web platform. Following the largest UK government framework agreement award, between the Crown Commercial Service and EDF Energy, the new platform needed to support more effective B2B communication, ensuring members can easily self-serve information to ensure they optimise their energy use and solution.
- A complete audit of all existing content for the portal
- Development of a comprehensive content strategy for translating content of all types into an effective digital format
- Strategic UX and site architecture mapping
- Mobile-first wireframing and collaborative design
- Creation of fully responsive web templates to integrate with EDF Energy’s CMS
After Digital's expert strategists audited all of EDF’s existing content, developing a comprehensive content strategy for translating content off all types (presentations, print collateral, downloadable PDFs, microsites, etc) into effective digital content. The team then crafted all the new content for the platform, focusing on key user journeys.
Based on this research, the creative team then undertook an on-site design process, scoping out UX design and prioritising content from a mobile-first perspective, through an in-depth wireframing exercise. These wireframes were then crafted into a number of flexible fully-responsive templates, adhering to EDF Energy’s strict brand guidelines.
Following incredible feedback from the client and great results across the board, After Digital's contract with EDF Energy Group was extended and we have now completed projects including a Market Insights app, a significant Home Move omni-channel user journey and mapping project and the EDF B2B 5-Year Digital Roadmap.
