We are currently searching for new Senior Digital Project Managers to join our growing team. So, to make sure we find the right person for the job, we are keen to give some insight into this role. What is the role of a Senior Digital Project Manager?
Here at AD, we have adopted the title of ‘Digital Producer’ (DP)—the language might not be exclusive to us, but the makeup of the role is. A Digital Producer, at its essence, is a style of end-to-end project management that encompasses all touchpoints in a project; from the delivery teams in the studio, all the way through to the client/stakeholders. You are the conduit for all work and information coming in and out of the studio and, in this pivotal role, you will understand the lifecycle of a project; bring knowledge of digital projects, platforms, and products; as well as have the ability to read and break down a brief/RFP to its core parts.
What are we looking for in a Senior DP?
At its core, you will be an experienced Project Manager, ideally with a minimum of 3/4 year’s experience in UX/digital studios. You will have to have experience of careful, considerate scheduling and project planning, and be an expert communicator and problem solver. You will be organised, confident, have a master’s eye for detail, and an understanding of how to get the best from and for your colleagues and the clients you work with. We are an agile studio, so active experience is a plus, but you will be carefully introduced to our unique ‘flavour’ (which is ever-evolving!), to meet our and the studio's needs.
What type of work would you get involved with?
In the studio, you will work closely with all members of the team; including the developers, designers/UX, digital marketing, digital transformation, new business, and the wider DP team. It’s an open, transparent, and supportive environment and you will be surrounded by colleagues who are equally passionate about their areas of expertise. You will be working collaboratively with your colleagues to deliver the best outputs and solutions on behalf of AD. We always have an eye on improving our internal processes and ways of working—everyone is continuously learning.
Our sector focus and areas of expertise have evolved but are established now as arts, culture, and education. Experience in these areas and how these organisations operate will be a plus. In return, you will get to work with some of the leading organisations in these fields—establishing long-term, mutually-beneficial and rewarding relationships. It’s these ongoing relationships that are key to our success as a studio, so we place a lot of importance on nurturing and developing them.
We also see no limits to where we work; be that Scotland, the UK, or the rest of the world! We’re a small agency with an open mind and big ambitions to continue our growth. As such, there will be the opportunity to travel to visit and be on-site with our clients at key points in the project kick-off and Discovery.

Learning from the team and from the projects that come into the studio, as well as through carefully-selected training and education programmes, and our Personal Development Programme (PDP)—we pride ourselves in upskilling our in-house team.
We would look to you as Senior to be able to support and mentor other members of the DP and wider AD team. We’d want you to be able to have a strong input in refining existing and building out new processes and structure for the team and the studio. You’ll be proactive in identifying opportunities for growth in the role and within the team.
